Available Opportunities:

Urban Livability committee
Volunteers will promote livability in the downtown community and deal with issues such as safety, cleanliness, graffiti and social issues. Responsibilities include building community partnerships, participating in constructive dialogues with relevant stakeholders and promoting, and acting on initiatives that support healthy living in downtown Victoria. Time commitment is estimated at 4-5 hours per month on an ongoing basis.

Community Development committee
We are seeking individuals who are interested in building on the success of events such as Chalk One Up for Canada Day, the Roving Refinery, and the Victoria Matters public forum series. Responsibilities include developing, organising and promoting periodic events in the downtown area for people from all communities in the Greater Victoria Area. Time commitment is estimated at 4-5 hours per month on an ongoing basis as events develop.

Roving Refineries
Don’t have time to volunteer? You can still attend one of our monthly Roving Refineries! The Roving Refinery is a series of DRA social events. Created to encourge socialization and interaction between Downtown-Harris Green residents and merchants of locally owned buisnesses, these events are about getting to know your neighbours and neighbourhood. The Roving Refinery is organized the DRA’s Community Development committee.
