Updated: Oct 23, 2024

Learn how to design your own climate-friendly boulevard garden in this free, three-hour hands-on workshop, led by local garden designer Erin Renwick of Greenspace Designs. The workshop is happening on Saturday, October 19th from 10 am to 1 pm at the Canadian Pacific Lawn Bowling and Croquet Club (720 Belleville Street).

We'll start by talking about what a climate-friendly garden is and isn't, then have a look at examples of boulevard gardens in Victoria. We'll discuss what's allowed by the city of Victoria, and how to find details about your own boulevard and street trees. We'll look at resources available to help with your design and plant choices, and then we'll learn how to create a simple scaled drawing of your boulevard to get you started on a plant list, budget, and installation plan.

Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Click here to learn more and to reserve your spot.
