CALUC Community Meetings during the Pandemic

The DRA participated in the recent feedback session with other CALUCs, the UDI and Staff to discuss alternatives to in-person public CALUC meetings. The DRA LUC supported having applicants’ proposed plans being uploaded to the development tracker and undergoing a preliminary plan and zoning check by staff prior to any public meeting. However, we expressed concerns regarding the degradation of public participation and public education that the public meeting forum richly provides that remote alternatives simply cannot accomplish.
