CALUC Letter re Application for a Liquor Primary License -715 Yates St.–Haunted Manor Mini-Golf

vice-president0

Updated: Oct 18, 2021

The DRA Land Use Committee has reviewed the application for a new Liquor Primary License for the Haunted House Mini-Golf and Ping-Pong Lounge.

  • Liquor Primary License with “minors in recreation facility” option to allow for family use

  • total occupant load of 50 people

  • proposed hours – M-Th 3pm-10pm; F 3pm-11pm; Sa 12noon-11pm; and Su 12noon-10pm

We have not received any input from the wider public. In assessing this application in relation to the DRA established policy for Liquor License Requests, there are no apparent concerns related to proximity to residential buildings (715 Yates and the buildings on either side are nonresidential); excessive noise (this is an indoor facility); size of occupant load; or hours of operation.

DRA LUC members offer general support for this application.
