The Jane's Walk festival is happening this weekend and DRA board member Dianne Flood will be leading a walking tour of the Downtown neighbourhood on Saturday afternoon. The tour will start at 1 pm at the fountain in Centennial Square and will last for approximately 90 minutes.
Jane's Walk is an annual festival of free, community-led walking conversations inspired by Jane Jacobs, which happens in dozens of countries and hundreds of cities globally. The festival encourages people to lead their own walks about their neighbourhoods, discover unseen aspects of their own communities, and use walking as a way to connect with their neighbours.
