Let’s make Downtown more livable!
The Downtown Residents Association (DRA) is hosting an event and survey to gather ideas from Downtown residents about improving the livability of our neighbourhood. Parks, public spaces, housing, transportation, recreation … anything and everything is open for discussion.
Join us on Wednesday, January 31st at the Victoria Event Centre (1415 Broad Street) to share your ideas for new priorities, policies, and spaces that can improve the experience for renters and homeowners living Downtown. Doors will open at 6:00 pm and the event will feature World Café-style discussions and presentations from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, plus refreshments and a chance to meet neighbours.
The survey will be open from now to mid-February and will take 5-15 minutes to complete. Click here to access the survey.
The DRA is the voice of Downtown and represents the interests of Downtown residents to the City of Victoria. We will be advocating to the City to improve Downtown livability through the upcoming Official Community Plan changes and through our ongoing work to make Downtown a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable place to live. To fulfil this role, we want to hear ideas and experiences from diverse people living in the Downtown neighbourhood.
