The Downtown Residents Association is partnering with local musician Sara Rose (they/them) to host a monthly Queer Open Stage. The series is intended to provide a safe space for 2SLGBTQIA+ performers to showcase their talent, find community, and network with other queer artists. Music, drag, poetry, dance, drama, magic and more ... if you can do it in ten minutes or less, we want to see it!
The next event will take place on Thursday, May 18th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at theDock (722 Cormorant St., 3rd Floor) and the featured performer will be Q. Find out more at www.facebook.com/events/1154544425187361/1154544431854027/.
After the May event we will be taking a break for the summer, but are hopeful that the Queer Open Stage will return in September. Stay tuned for details about a special Pride concert that we are planning for June 28th, featuring artist who have performed at the open stage over the past few months.
